Exam Readiness - Mondeor High

Preparing for and writing your final matric exams comes with a lot of stress, anxiety and pressure. Learners who manage this well tend to have a better outcome and enjoy writing their final exams as opposed to dragging themselves through every paper.
Bags of Blessings, accompanied by well-known singer, song writer, businesswoman and influencer, LeAnne Dlamini, encouraged and advised learners on how to deal with all the emotional challenges that comes with sitting down for final exams.
Learners thoroughly enjoyed the session which broke out into a spontaneous dance off between some learners. What a great stress reliever!
Needless to say a bag of blessing was handed to all learners to assist with their energy levels and show them that Bags of Blessings is interested in their well-being.

Hillbrow Midwives Obstetrics Unit

An outreach that was arranged, together with a few Doulas based in Johannesburg, to assist moms in active labor at the unit.
The moms who birth at this unit have low risk pregnancies and are referred to the unit by clinics in Johannesburg and surrounding areas. Unfortunately, many of the moms who birth at the unit come from underprivileged communities. Bags of Blessings arranged to have a few care packs containing items for both mom and baby which included the following:

Nappies
Wet wipes
Baby onesie
Baby blanket
Baby Vaseline
Sanitary postpartum pads for mom
Slippers for mom
Snack for mom

Every mom who received a bag was immensely grateful. This proved that even the seemingly small gestures and acts of kindness is able to bring so much joy to those in need.

CLOTHED with DIGNITY

Bags of Blessing CLOTHING DRIVE was a huge success.
Our aim was to restore dignity to a community, Bellavista, located in the South of Johannesburg, where community members had a huge need for clothing.
We chose to restore dignity by setting up a clothing store where community members in need could purchase clothes without spending “money”. We designed our own currency, “Royal Bucks”, and handed it to parents who would then shop with their kids and purchase any clothing items that were for “sale”.
It was such a joy to see the smiles on the faces of parents and children alike as they shopped, fitted and bought clothes and shoes at will.
Bags of Blessings thrives on helping communities in need!
